Can you tell us a little about your journey with your brand Karen Walker?

Well over a decades-spanning career there are millions of small successes and failures - I’ve loved every moment of it.

 

How long have you been stocked at Palm Boutique?

Since 2007

Chic meets eccentric

 

You have a strong following at Palm, why do you think your brand performs so well with us?

I think you have a lot of interesting people looking for interesting things and they relate to what we do.

 

Who will always be your icon?

Currently I’m in love with Berenice Abbott’s style. 

 

What song are you playing on repeat at the moment?

Anything that Glenn Gould ever recorded. 

What are you coveting most right now?

A weekend reading a book in front of the fire.  

 

What are your favourite fabrics?

Denim and crepe-de-chine. 

 

Have you been to nelson before?

Yes, quite a few times. 

 

If so what was your favourite part?

All the fabulous beaches.

 

Who would attend your dream dinner party?

Larry David, Jarvis Cocker, Lee Miller, Morrissey, Lena Dunham, Evelyn Waugh, P. G. Wodehouse, Christopher Hitchens,  Jon Stewart, Grayson Perry, A. A. Gill and my husband. 

 

What is your guilty pleasure?

Going to bed at 8.30pm
